《民联众国会议员呼吁让反对党领袖出席国会》
已是反对党领袖拿督斯里安华被囚禁的第十八天。
在我国各个角落的马来西亚人民、国际社会以及我们民联一致谴责对安华的囚禁，并呼吁立即释放他。
我们不能遗忘，是安华在上一届全国大选中，带领民联赢得52%的选票。尽管他身在牢狱之中，他仍然说出人民的心声，是人民的希望。
根据联邦宪法第48条，安华依然是峇东埔国会议员及联邦反对党领袖。这已经得到下议院议长的证实。
国会将在接下来的3月9日召开，而安华是必须被允许出席国会以履行他身为在野党领袖的责任。这也是人民所期待看到的。安华的出席将确保人民的利益能被大力地争取及维护。
在野党的职位是受法律及宪法承认的。它在议会民主制度中扮演很重要的角色。它必须是不受阻碍地去履行其责任。
早前，内政部长阿末扎希已正式要求，允许安华出席3月9日至4月9日的国会。然而在2月26日，扎希却发文告声明安华能否出席国会是交由总检察长决定。
这是完全错误的，而显然的，扎希企图逃避责任。监狱部门是受内政部管制，而不是总检察长。唯有内政部长或政府才有权力决定允许安华出席国会。扎希是必须同意这一点，并下令监狱部门执行相关指令。
在原油价下滑及马币贬值导致我国经济萧条的情况下，此时此刻是我国非常关键的时候。在野党领袖是更需要在其岗位上。
3月9日，我国元首将为国会下议院开幕。而3月10日的这一天，全国人民要看到安华在反对党的前方座位上开始他的辩论。为维护人民的权益，政府必须让安华出席国会，以确保这次国会辩论得以进行。

PAKATAN MPS CALL FOR OPPOSITION LEADER'S ATTENDANCE IN PARLIAMENT
This is the 18th day of the imprisonment of the Leader of the Opposition, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Ordinary Malaysians in every corner of this country, the international community and we in Pakatan Rakyat are united in condemning his jailing and calling for his immediate release.
It must never be forgotten that Anwar Ibrahim led Pakatan Rakyat to win 52 percent of the popular vote in the last general election. Though in jail, he remains the voice and hope of the people.
Pursuant to Article 48 of the Federal Constitution, Anwar remains MP for Permatang Pauh and Federal Opposition Leader. This has been confirmed by the speaker of the Dewan Rakyat.
When parliament convenes on 9 March 2015, Anwar must be allowed to attend Parliament and carry out his duties as Opposition Leader. The rakyat expect this. Anwar's presence will ensure that the people's interests are vigorously fought for and safeguarded.
The position of Opposition Leader is legally and constitutionally recognised. It is an essential part of our system of parliamentary democracy. There must be no obstacles placed against the discharge of those duties.
Home Minister Zahid Hamidi has been formally asked to allow Anwar Ibrahim to attend the Parliament session on 9 March to 9 April. However, on 26 February 2015, Zahid made a statement claiming that it is the Attorney- General who must decide whether to allow this.
This is completely wrong and plainly an attempt to evade responsibility. The Prisons department is under the Home Ministry, and not the Attorney- General. Only the Home Minister/Government have the authority to release Anwar for parliamentary sessions. Zahid must agree to this and direct the prisons department accordingly.
This is a critical time for our nation, with a bleak economic outlook including fall in crude prices and the value of the ringgit. The leader of the opposition is needed at his post.
On 9th March, the King will address the Dewan Rakyat. On 10th March, the nation will want to see Anwar Ibrahim rise from his customary place in the opposition front bench and begin his debate on the royal address. In the interest of the rakyat, the government must ensure this debate takes place by allowing Anwar Ibrahim to attend the sitting.
